Getting over it

How to handle the disappointment?

It takes time:    Whenever you feel depressed your friends, or parents would come
and said "Do not worry about it too much, let time solve it!"
and you think that it is annouying. But it is true.
Feeling bad is a normal reaton to rejection and such a feeling
will go aways in a period of time.

We can control only one thing: The fact is, we can't control everything that
happen to us. We can't control the color of our skin, who your parents are, where you born. But there is one thing we can control: How we respond to what happen to us. And that's what count!. This is why we need to stop worrying and start to think about the solutions and find ways to solve the problems.

Eating Out and Socializing Across Gender Lines in Cambodia

Socializing or eating out whether across gender line or not people are willing to make relationship. However the way they do something doesn’t always show what they mean to other people. Because of this reason there are both advantage and disadvantage of eating out and socializing across gender lines in Cambodia.
The advantage is that people can get to know each other well and build a good relationship. Another thing is that they can join the social event and know what is going on in the society.

The disadvantage is that people can be judged in the wrong way. Their action can be misunderstood, especially the time and the place where they go. For example, eating out in at late night is completely judged in the bad way. It means that girls are not suppose to go outside with other guy and come back late at night. It is like culture concern that everybody always used to judged people from outside appearance.

However, not all the people are concern about this problem because they think that today is modern society and people can do whatever they want to do.
In conclusion, there are both advantage and disadvantage. It is usually depend on people thinking and activities. The most important thing is that we cannot judge people by seeing only one part of that person. Because seeing thing from a difference points of view can help us understand why they act the way they do.

The spotlight is on me?

In any social situation it is common to have a sense of how people thinking or be aware of you and you are keeping in mind that everyone is looking at you. It's called the spotlight effect.

For me this happen very often since i have moved to Siem Reap.

As you know i often go to play internet at weekend and this week something surprise me happened. You know what happen to me last Saturday evening while i was about to find a seat in one local cafe? I went through the causer where i can order coke and something to eat. And I started looking for a place to sit with my tray, but come up empty. Did you know that if you stand there long enough with that stuff, you eventurally activate this alarm and a voice come on
over the loudspeaker 'Alert, Kuong is looking for a seat, but can't find. please stare at him.'

I am sure you would not want that situation happen to you. Has that ever happened to you? Or you are too cool cos you are get used to with that?
