There Are Two Types of People

As being adult, you have to be carefully choose which type of people you are, proactive or reactive the choice is yours.

Reactive people is somekind of person who are easily offended, blems other, get angry easily and say somethings that will later regret. Reactive people is like a can of coke that will build up pressure and explode immediately when you shack it abit. Also they are whine and complain. If something go wrong with them, they would just complanning all day. They would just wait something to happan to them and would not worry about what they should do. It's like a virus that can't survive if they are outsite of the host. They are completely depending on other.

What's about proactive people? Proactive people are obviously opposite to reactive. They are not easily offended and take responsibility for their choices. They think before they act and always find way to make it happen. The most important thing is that they focus on things that they can do something about,and do not worry about thing they can't.

Okay! so what type of people do you choose? Proactive or reactive people. It's your choice. From day to day, you have lots of chances to choose. In some circumstances, you had an argument with your friends, your presentation is not as good as you expected, someone stole you phone and the day of the exam is comming soon. So what are you going to do about it. Are you gonna feel bad about yourself toward everythings that happen to you and get sick with it? Or are you proactive people? The choice is your. It really is. You are not supposed to worry about what has happened. What you have to do is study for your comming exams.

Let's me share you one story:

When I moved to Siem Reap for my job at the first time, everybody at my work seem very nice to me including my boss. From one department to one department people are very kind and curious to teach and show me how to do thing as I was new to things. However, for some reasons there was a guy ( i should not mention his name) didn't like me and I did not know what his problems was. He just want to let me know that he did not like me. He would use an urgly word to me. Complanning everything that i had done. Sometime he tried to find my mistakes to report to the boss. Luckily, at that time i just finished reading Proactive or reative people. So I think I should put it into practice. Then I keep cool in mind and did not respond to his silly attacks even a single action. Instead I tried to be good and smiled at hime as much as I can. For a few months later, It seems that he knew I would not offened and not willing to play the game with him. Finally, he changed his mind (maybe) and act as normal to me as to others. What suprised is that now we are a good team. We work in one unit together.

Win-Win attitude

Let's say you care about other people and you want them to success, but you also care about yourself and want to success as well.In this point you are using a win-win attitude.
Win-win attitude is a belief that everyone can win. Not only you or me, but both of us. There are planty of success to go around.

Thinking win-win is a basic attitude toward life. It's a mental fram of mind that say i can win so can you. It is though that the world is a competition that everyone can't always win. Of course, it is the way of business, sport and school, but not the way of real life. Life is not about competition, or getting ahead of others and it is obviously not that way in relationship.
It is believed that thinking win-win is an excellent way to improve our relationship.

Here is an example of thinking win-win that i quote from book:

My sister and i are always arguing about who has to walk the dogs and do the dishes. We both would choose the dogs over the dishes any day. But someone has to do one or the other. So we decided that i would wash the dishes she would dry them, and then we'd walk the dogs together. I'm glad it worked out like that,because we get what needs to be done finished but also add a little fun to it by doing it together.

Preah Vihear

Preah Vihear

I visited Preah Vihear on 17 last Saturday. It is an amazing place I have ever visited in my life.( That's why people are fighting for it.) With a group of 15 people, leaving Siem Reap at 1pm and arrived Preah Vihear at around 4:45pm. It was late to claim to the top of the mountain so we decided to find a guest house to stay untill tomorrow.

On early morning the next day, we left the guest house to the temple.
It is a wonderful temple surrounded by fog at the morning. Everybody surprised and felt strange about it. It was not clear from the distance of 10 to 20 m. It's hard to believe that we can't see each other clearly.(you can see my pictures.). There are few temples with a long distance from each other. To me there was a petty about the very old and broken temples. How came that such a beautiful temple was destroyed. At the top of the mountain there is a place called Poy Ta Dy. It's the most beautiful place. We spent bit longer time there, sitting, speaking, feeling the drop of water from the fog. It felt very strange.

We saw lots of soldiers along the road to the temple and all of them were enthusiastic to guide us to every corner of the place. We visited the Pagoda and Veal Intree. This is a place in which Khmer and Thai soldier fight last time. We took some photos with them.

Negative Body Image

Almost everyone, including me, has something they would change about therir image. For example, I would change my weigh and you would change your nose and other people would change their height. Of course, many people are worry about how others "see" them. These concerns are often go with our feeling for a long time and it can be causing problems when they stay deep enough.


I remember everytime i talked on phone with Srey Nine, sharing information about our friends, catching up all the news, who was dating who and so on, and she always started by asking me "How are you? How do you look like now? and Do you gain weigh?" These are some questions related to self image and I really appreciated her conern.

I remember when i was young i wished if i could only has his hair style or his heigh i would be very happy. And this wished can not help me.

Anyway, there are lots of advice about body image like: eating healthy, getting exercise, and learning to love yourself are the best and esy ways to help you solve the problem.

At this point you may shoot to me and say " Come on! Kuong it's not gonna be as easy as you said." and i would not argue with you now. But remember, We cannot control what happen to us, but we can control what we should do about it.

Getting Sick

I was never though that i would had this day. At nigh On 09, July is the most hard time i had since i moved to Siem reab. I've got a big flue and got a very high fever and cough. I could not sleep. Spending one night with couching and painful on a whole body is very difficult for me. The morning came I tried to get up and went to the hospital. When i arrived at the hospital, I went through to see the doctor directly and nurses started doing my temperature recoded and my body temperature is 38.7oc, a little bit high. They gave me paracetamol and started giving me IV normal saline. I feel a little bit better, but still headache. I stay in the ICU room for a whole day time. At afternoon, one doctor named Micky who's a very good doctor and a very good teacher of mine, come up to me and said they should not gave me iv normal saline. It's a kind of wasting time. Instead, he brought me a bottle of coke and banana. After one bottle of normal saline is finished, I feel better and went home at five in the afternoon.

Monthly Spending

Money seems to be a problem for me.I wonder where has my money gone through?
Living here, Siem Reab, for almost half year, look like I have spend money without planning properly.
It makes me into trouble. Who know? I am always looking forward to the end of the month counting how much I have earned. That is I can't effort to buy a new cell phone. I mean my cell phone is having problem and need to change.

Recently I am reading a book called "Real College", It includes some useful information for those who is about to leave a family and getting into college and of course will meet some difficulties such as: your roommate, your social life, your grades, your parents, and your self. There is one subtopic called " A note on spending". It makes me feel that I need to do something now. Hence, I decided to note down every little thing I spent and my note show as below:

1. House rent: $50
2. Water and electricity: 10000 real
3. Lunch and dinner: $63
4. Breakfast, snack, fruit and others: $28.75 plus 138600 real
Accoding to the note i have spend nearly $150 per month. It is not included cloth and material for using in the house.

You see I have not spent lots of money as I think. $150 per month for those who live alone is acceptable, isn't it? Although, I do not earn lots of money anyway that's why I can not effort a new cell phone. I think I need to be more careful on spending.
